A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Pfahlbauten tells the story of life in the Stone and Bronze Ages. You start your visit with a virtual 360° dive in the Archeorama. Here, the life and building structures under water are made visible.

The Bregenz Festival is a must for any culture vulture, with a varied programme of opera performances, orchestral concerts, music and poetry presentations at its outdoor stage, the Festspielhaus (festival hall) and the Lake Studio.

The Bregenzerwald railway line, affectionately known locally as the Wälderbähnle, used to link Bregenz to the mountain village of Bezau. This 35-kilometre stretch was covered by a narrow-gauge track just 760 millimetres wide. 

Formerly a humble stable, this building now houses one of the world’s foremost collection of cribs. The exhibition presents an astonishing variety of widely differing specimens from places as diverse as Austria, Italy, Spain, Lapland, Africa and China. 

This historic steamship first graced the Lake Constance waters back in 1913 and in the 21st century it retains a timeless charm and elegance. The flair of its decks, the chic salons, and the mighty steam engine whisk visitors back in time to days gone by.

Bludenz is surrounded by an amphitheatre of mountains whose peaks reach well over 2,000 metres. Affectionately known by locals as the "Städtle", it is a springboard for five Alpine valleys and a centre of alpine sport.  

Vorarlberg has a long tradition of small-scale agriculture. Most farmers here live from dairy farming. The milk is used in numerous alpine dairies and in summer months in the Alps to make its Bergkäse, a tangy hard cheese. 

Austria is famous for its schnapps production, and there’s none finer than here in Vorarlberg. The local Prinz distillery in Hörbranz offers a unique behind-the-scenes look of how their spirit is produced. Visitors are able to watch master distillers at work and gain fascinating insights into the fine art of distillation. 

The Zeppelin Museum has long drawn visitors to Lake Constance. Here you can experience the varied developments in the history of aviation and even walk through a model Zeppelin. In fact, the museum offers the world's most extensive and important collection on the history and technology of Zeppelin airship travel. 

The Juppen is the traditional costume of the Bregenzerwald. At this extraordinary production site, visitors can discover five centuries of craftsmanship and how this international-renowned Wälderjuppe is made. 

Indoor golf has all the joys of golf, without the rain, blinding sun and long walks. This course in Götzis is home to not only highly acclaimed Golfzon simulators, but also a bar and cosy lounge. It's the ideal setting for team tournaments, as a work trip or as an activity during meetings or conferences.

It is claimed the monastery of St. Gerold dates back to the 11th century. Today, the priory, which belongs to the Benedictine monastery of Einsiedeln in Switzerland, is considered the spiritual and cultural centre of the Great Walser Valley.

Beyond the usual hiking and biking trails, there’s always something new to discover, new heights or natural wonders. An outdoor experience in Vorarlberg can bring out the best in everyone, while reinforcing group dynamics and team spirit. 

The Waldwelt Skywalk Allgäu allows visitors to wander around the treetops and canopies at 25 to 40 metres above the ground. The barrier-free structure takes people through the greenery and serves up fantastic views across the region where the borders of four countries meet all the way to Lake Constance.

The centuries-old Martinsturm tower in Bregenz is the main landmark of Vorarlberg’s capital. One of the must-see historical sights on Lake Constance, its baroque onion-shaped dome towers over the roofs of the city.
