A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Pfahlbauten tells the story of life in the Stone and Bronze Ages. You start your visit with a virtual 360° dive in the Archeorama. Here, the life and building structures under water are made visible; the village surrounded by palisades has the structure and location of a small settlement on Lake Constance. In typical houses with thatched roofs, visitors learn about the daily lives of the early farmers, fishermen and traders who resided here. In the living and working huts, the basics of Stone Age life - about 3,500 years ago - are conveyed in a realistic and informative way.
