Käsehaus Montafon stands out for the fact that it provides tour groups with the opportunity of experiencing the region with all their senses and even of taking a part of it home with them. Packed in portions. The dairy not only runs its own 150-square-metre farm shop and restaurant, it also presents two different programmes: the small cheese study session and the alpine dairy school. Five types of cheese are presented and tasted in the small cheese study session. Participants will hear the stories behind them and will be able to ask questions about the art of cheese-making. The session lasts for between 20 and 40 minutes and may be attended by up to 100 people. A little extra time, around two hours, is required for the alpine dairy school because it brings visitors closer to cheese-making than ever before because participants will also be making their own cheese – under the guidance of genuine professionals, of course. A traditional farmer’s buffet with the best products from the region is served as the crowning finale. The alpine dairy school caters to groups of up to 100 people.
